INTERNATIONAL WRESTLING CARTEL

AUGUST 5, 2005

Well, that was some show, huh?

No Excuses more than met all of my expectations and then some. And yeah, I was wrong on a lot of predictions, but that's why I'm behind the pen and not inside the ropes.

One of the things that did my old ticker proud was seeing Dean Radford and Jake Garrett get in there, even though they didn't have a match, and tear each other apart. It was even better to hear people getting behind both of these guys, who are more than underrated.

I had a chance to sit down for a Coke with Jake this week and asked him a few questions. I think you'll discover plenty of insight here...

Tom Collins: So anyways, Jake, they just announced that Shiima Xion will be facing Shirley Doe in Uniontown. Now, me, like a lot of fans, thought that you and Doe would be wrestling each other on the show, especially after you killed him with a cobra clutch suplex and a piledriver. So what do you think?

Jake Garrett: Shiima has come a long way in his rookie year. And I wouldn't say he's not deserving of consideration by the championship committee. But let's face facts. He gets pinned... then asks for a title shot... and then he gets it? Meanwhile, Tom, a guy, I don't know, I a guy like me is undefeated, well, I get ignored.

TC: Doesn't seem fair to me, but again...

JG: I think Shiima has some flashy moves, some speed and a pretty smart manager in his corner. But Doe should have an easy time with him, just based on experience, size and strength. If I were a betting man I'd put my money on Doe. He has a lot of people who want  to see him keep the title. And I'm one of them.

TC: Wha?

JG: I guarantee that Doe will leave Uniontown as the champ. Doe is the strongest champion IWC has ever had. And I want to be the man to topple that great champion.

TC: So that's why you've targeted him?

JG: Since the start of IWC, I have one of the best win loss records... somewhere around .725, but I can't get a shot, hell on No Excuses, I couldn't even get a match. However, I can eliminate the entire list of contenders until they have to give me a shot at Doe.

TC: So this is your new goal?

JG: It will be the fulfillment of a career to show the committee, the promoter, and all the other wrestlers who is truly the best and strongest wrestler in IWC.

TC: At No Excuses, you went to town on Dean. And then a day later, he was mysteriously attacked as we saw on our TV show. So what do you have to say about that?

JG: Tom, look, you're an old goat, so that's all that's saving me from ripping your tongue out of your mouth, Let's just say that Dean needs to less trusting of mysterious letters. Seriously, in this day and age, who knows who could have sent it. Maybe it was you Tom.

TC: Now, hey, I had nothing to do with it!

JG: Isn't it ironic that he just ran into his two worst enemies? I mean, hey, Dean is a tough wrestler and a former champion here in IWC. But even that wasn't enough to stop two practically insane drunk heathens like Dark and Hentai. It's unfortunate for Dean, but good for me.

TC: I wonder what Norm has to say about this.

JG: Well, Norm said he was one of the men I would have to make into a victim to get my shot. I guess someone did my dirty work for me. Thanks, guys.

TC: Umm... uhh...

JG: You having a stroke again? Listen up, IWC. Everyone grow eyes in the back of your heads, because you're all on my list.

Fans, I think there's more to this than meets the eye. And trust me, I'll be keeping my eye on this situation.
