INTERNATIONAL WRESTLING CARTEL

February 2nd, 2006
Bu-bu-bullet point column!!!
-A special thank you to Digital Horizons for hooking me up with an advanced copy of IWC's "A New Beginning". A phenomenal job as always, but just as the IWC competitors stepped up their games, so did DH with this DVD release.

-IWC wrestling figures? Well, not quite. However, I did receive my Chris Sabin and new AJ Styles figures in the mail today. Just remember, they're not dolls, they're action figures.

-Rumors have been abounding regarding Tracy Smothers' new partner. He and this mystery partner will be challenging the Gambino Brothers for the IWC tag team titles on February 18th at "Accept No Limitations 2". I've heard talk that Smothers may be going to "extreme" lengths to regain the titles. I'll tell you this. If the partner is the name I've heard, it should be very interesting. On the surface, it sounds like these two couldn't be more different. However, they are more alike than any of us could ever believe.

-Congrats to Sterling Keenan for competing in an ROH ring yet again this past weekend, and congrats to the Gambinos for entering into the CHIKARA 2006 Tag World Grand Prix later this month. They will be facing the IWS (Montreal) tag team champions Shane Matthews and Jagged, the team of 2.0.

-I really like the concept of the Super Indy V press conference. Q & A's have been a big thing on the scene lately, and this is the opportunity for the fans to ask one-on-one questions to some big names in the business.

-Milano Collection AT vs. Kudo vs. Delirious- IWC's 2006 match of the year? The more you think about it, the more it sounds right.

-We all know how Norm can be once his back has been put against a wall. What in the world is Norm going to do about the Abyss situation from the last show? And will Norm be putting himself in serious danger in the process?

-I've tried getting in contact with Sterling Keenan several times since the "A New Beginning", but to no avail. I've known Sterling since he first started in wrestling, and although he and I have not seen eye-to-eye over the past several years, I thought maybe he'd want to talk about what is going through his head. Unfortunately, I guess he has no time for a lowly official like me. I'm dying to know what exactly is going on...

-Super Bowl prediction? A bunch of guys will play a game I don't care about. And Monday morning, Pittsburghers will be whining and making excuses about why their team lost. Don't blame the officiating!

-Happy Groundhog Day!
