INTERNATIONAL WRESTLING CARTEL

February 16th, 2006
(To begin with a non-wrestling related item: CBS has canceled "Love Monkey" after only three episodes. Screw you, CBS. You never even gave this show a chance. The natural continuation of "Ed" was a welcome change to all of this reality-show crap. At least Veronica Mars is still on the air.)

Two days away! "Accept No Limitations" 2.

In the main event, the Unholy Alliance of IWC world champion Shirley Doe, HENTAI, and Sebastian Dark are in for the beating of their lives as they will finally get what they deserve at the hands of Jon Bolen, Dennis Gregory, and Dean Radford. Both Gregory and Radford have history with their opponents, and Bolen has been on the winning team before when facing those men in a six-man. This will definitely be chaotic, and no doubt something to remember. I know I am supposed to be impartial, but I hope Bolen, Gregory, and Radford destroy the Unholy Alliance, and we never have to see or here them again.

IWC Super Indy champion "Fabulous" John McChesney continues his reign as he defends (and challenges) against ICW/ICWA Tex-Arkana Television champion "Sweet N Sour" Larry Sweeney. It's title vs title in this one, folks. Sweeney has an old-school style that McChesney may be unfamiliar with, and I think that will make the difference in this one and be the cause of a new Super Indy champion.

Shark-infested waters in Elizabeth this Saturday night? Shark Boy makes his return to IWC to reform his tag team with Glenn Spectre, as they seek to dethrone the virtually unstoppable (sorry, Kingdom) champions the Gambinos. I can't see how two men whom haven't teamed in such a long time can defeat this brother tag team, but one never knows for sure.

With Super Indy V just around the corner, there will be two qualifying matches in only two days time. In the match that I can't wait to see, KUDO returns to the States to take on Delirious in his IWC return, and the debuting Milano Collection AT. If you have been fortunate enough to see any of Milano's work in Japan, specifically Toryumon or Dragon Gate, you know what he brings to the table. Kudo... all I can say is the same as I did when he came to IWC last year... go watch him and KENTA scare off in the Differ Cup from last spring. Delirious, well... his reputation precede him. Don't blink during this one, as you surely will not want to miss a second of this contest.

Also with SI V ramifications, Jason Gory attempts to earn a berth int his second SI tournament with a win over "Double C" Claudio Castagnoli. With rumors that Claudio may soon be moving south of the border to better his trade, this may very well be one of the last times we'll all be able to see him in person before he makes the big time.

Anyone who reads this column regularly knows how much of a Troy Lords fan I am, and actually have been for some time. At "A New Beginning", a lot of others were forced to jump on that bandwagon after his performance against John McChesney. Another one that I am very high on is Shiima Xion. I have been fortunate enough to officiate this match before, and believe me when I tell you that these two can go. I hope this feud rages on for quite a while, as I will never grow tired of seeing these two men go at it.

Dirk Ciglar and J-Rocc are two men at crossroads in their IWC careers. I said the same regarding Ciglar and Bubba the Bulldog after the last show, but it applies here as well. Whomever wins this one will move up in the world of IWC. Whomever loses... has a lot of soul-searching to do.

Last, but certainty not least, Sterling Keenan will be be in the Court Time Sports Center to not only compete, but to address all of us about what is going on in that head of his. As I have previously stated, Keenan has not returned any of my calls or emails since "A New Beginning", so I also am very interested to find out what an old friend has to say.

IWC keeps rolling on in 2006. Do NOT miss this one.

"... plus all of the fun and surprises you've come to expect from IWC..."
