INTERNATIONAL WRESTLING CARTEL

"This-col-umn's-awe-some" clap...clap...clap, clap, clap

Enough of that nonsense.

This week, the return of my soon-to-be-famous bullet-point column!

-Kudos to IWC for giving the young lions a chance. Take "Hell Hath No Fury 2" for example.

 -Shiima Xion v AJ Styles
 -Jon Bolen v Abyss
 -Jason Gory v John McChesney
 -Vendetta v Glenn Spectre
-Jason Cage and Jimmy Demarco v Cleveland Mafia

Here are prime examples of these young talents getting a much-deserved chance against more experienced talent. Maybe "Youth Gone Wild 2" would have been more appropriate.

-The Briscoe Brothers debut on June 9th at "Caged Fury 3". A lot of people are predicting how exactly they will fit into the IWC scene. Should they be granted a tag title shot? Should they be forced to earn it? Only a few more weeks until we find out how they start their IWC tenure...

-I hope you all had the pleasure of reading Jeff Gorman's newly released book, "This Side of the Mic". A lot of great stories, and I was amazed at how much I learned from the pages of this book. If I had a book club, this would be on the list.

-The following appeared in the "IWC Headlines" section of the website on April 19th, regarding the IWC WarGames match at "Caged Fury 3": "The Unholy Alliance will be represented by IWC Champion Shirley Doe, HENTAI, Sebastian Dark, and a partner to-be-announced. Representing Team IWC will be three men who have stood up to the Alliance in the war, Dennis Gregory, Dean Radford, and Jon Bolen! There will be one more Team IWC member that will be named by Norm Connors. He told IWCwrestling.com that in order to squash early rumors, he wants IWC fans to know that the 4th member will NOT be "Balls Hot" Troy Lords."

How weird is this? It seems that both sides of this war refuse to show their respective hands too soon. I'm sure there are a slew of men ready to step-up and help the IWC side. The question is, who will represent the Unholy Alliance? Abyss? Jimmy Vega$? Someone else?

-Several weeks later, and I am still confused about Jimmy Demarco's interference during the tag team title match between the Gambinos and Burning River Brigade at "Super Indy V". There has GOT to be more to this story...

-"Balls Hot" Troy Lords v HENTAI. I'd like to go on record now as saying that this will be the "feud of the year" in IWC rings. These two men have "it". As long as Troy can keep his head on straight during this match, it could very well be his next step towards the top.

See you in a week with my preview of "Hell Hath No Fury 2"!

-Steven Colter
