INTERNATIONAL WRESTLING CARTEL

September 27, 2005

I'm going to stray from the world of IWC once again this week, and ask one question...

What are you thinking, TNA???

While looking at the card thus far for the Bound For Glory PPV, it looks incredible.

-AJ Styles v Chris Daniels in a 30-minute Iron Man match...

-Matt Bentley v Chris Sabin v Petey Williams in an Ultimate X match...

-Samoa Joe v Jushin "Thunder" Liger...

Jeff Jarrett v Kevin Nash for the NWA title???

Huh??

I completely understand where they are coming from. Spike TV, as I said last week, will hopefully open them up to a new audience, and they want to hook people with familiar names.

The problem is, they also don't want to chase away loyal fans with providing a main event like this.

Let's face it. This match will suck horribly.

The last impression one has of a show is the main event. How many great shows have you seen where the undercard was spectacular, but the final match was crap, leaving a bad taste in your mouth??

Sounds like the first several TNA monthly PPVs.

I just can't grasp the concept that the TNA brass thinks that this is a match that can grab the imagination of the casual fan.

Raven, when it comes to name value, falls somewhere in between Jarrett and Nash. He easily could have been plugged into it, and instantly make the match better.

Reading the undercard does make one realize just how much of an impact some of the IWC talent has made in the wrestling world.

Do you realize that of those three matches, the legendary Liger is the only one to have not competed in an IWC ring??

I just hope that the rest of the undercard falls into place as well as these matches have.

With a main event featuring Kevin Nash, in October of 2005, they'll need all the help they can get.
