Looking
ahead to IWC's 2006, there are two stories that take precedent over all
others- IWC finding a permanent home, and the big main event for "No
Excuses 2".
Beginning with the event on January 20th, the International Wrestling Cartel will have its own home base- the Court Time Sports Center in Elizabeth, PA.
For those unaware, the building is fairly close to the Palisades that IWC has run in frequently during 2005. From what I have been told, this is a modern facility, and a lot more fan-friendly than the Palisades. I, for one, do have some great memories from the Palisades, but I plan on having more at the Court Time Sports Center, and it will all start at "A New Beginning" on Friday, January 20th.
And it has an arcade!!!
Now, onto what will undoubtedly be one of the biggest stories on the indy scene in 2006- AJ Styles v Christian Cage.
AJ is one of the top wrestlers in the business today. Christian is the hottest name in the business today. Not only is this two of the biggest names in the industry, but also two of the most talented performers in modern pro wrestling.
Let's face it. For the past several years, AJ Styles has been considered the single best wrestler in professional wrestling. Christian Cage has been called by those in the know as the best wrestler in the WWF/E at times.
IWC has had some big matches in its past. Nova-Frankie Kazarian v Backseat Boys v Christian York-Joey Matthews. Christopher Daniels v Low-Ki. Eddy Guerrero v CM Punk. Jerry Lawler v Dusty Rhodes. Samoa Joe v Chris Hero. Midnight Express v Southern Comfort. Styles v Matt Hardy.
All of those will pale in comparison to what we will all see on August 5th, 2006.
However, most of the fun will be getting there.
That process starts at "A New Beginning".
