INTERNATIONAL WRESTLING CARTEL

INTERROGATION
ERIC XTASY

Conducted by Joe Dombrowski
IWC Color Commentator / Media Correspondent

Q: Eric, we know you've recently spent time serving a suspension thanks to Chris Wood and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission, however even though that suspension has expired, we haven't seen your name on any of our upcoming live events. There have been a lot of rumors circulating regarding your health. Set the record straight what is your condition right now?

A: My condition is that I tore ligaments and cartilage in my left shoulder. Apparently, it was so torn that it couldn't hold my shoulder in socket any longer. I got surgery on January 7, 2004 since I was suspended and had time. However, I wasn't aware of the severity of the injury. All I know it was very painful. I couldn't sleep for a week.

Q: When did this latest injury occur?

A: Well the first incident occured in a wrestling match in October of 2002 for the B.E.E.R. Wrestling promotion. I never got it fixed thinking it would just heal with lifting and strengthening. Since then it has happened four times in the ring (which most IWC fans have seen) and three times in my normal life. The final straw was on November 1 when I couldn't finish my tag match in front of WWE's Tom Prichard because it happened again.

Q: What is its severity?

A: Well, like I said, it's pretty bad. WWE's Mark Henry just had the same injury and is now out six months. It's nothing to play with. Former IWC wrestler Johnny Heartbreaker was out a total of 16 months with the same injury.

Q: What have you done or will do in attempts to reach 100% as quickly and effectively as possible?

A: Well I had the best shoulder surgeon in the city perform the surgery. Now I'm going to rehab and coming a long way, better than expected. Most of it is in part to the fact I trained pretty hard before surgery and my body is in good healing condition. I dropped 40 pounds on a low-carb diet so far which also helps the body to rebuild.

Q: It seems whenever you get a really positive string of momentum, some sort of setback occurs. Your thoughts on that matter?

A: It's very depressing. I guess what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I didn't announce this injury only because I didn't want to make another big deal about an injury, but the fans deserve to know the truth. I just hope this time they will be behind me once again.

Q: When do you expect to be back in the ring?

A: Right now it's up in the air. I have a contract to face the IWC Heavyweight champion on the April 3 "Night of Legends" show in Franklin, PA. I don't want to lose that opportunity, but I also don't want to risk another surgery by coming back so soon. We will see. I have every intention to come back in April but I won't come back until I'm 100%.

Q: What goals do you hope to reach once you return?

A: Well, obviously to win the IWC Title. One more obstacle to overcome. Nothing would make me happier than to dethrone that piece of crap Sterling James Keenan and put the heavyweight back in the title. I also have a score to settle with Dean Radford for Radicating me on December 12 and beating me in the elimination match. So whoever is champ is fine with me.
