INTERNATIONAL WRESTLING CARTEL

INTERROGATION
STERLING JAMES KEENAN
"CM PUNK FEARS ME!"

by Joe Dombrowski
IWC Color Commentator / Media Correspondent

Q: Well, Sterling James Keenan, as of now we're about one month removed from your IWC Heavyweight Title victory over Dennis Gregory. How does it feel to be on top of the IWC world?

A: To be perfectly honest with you, it's bittersweet. I finally showed everybody that I am every bit as good as I say I am. And obviously, with the title, comes the girls, and the money. The part that sickens me is Norm Connors spending more time trying to screw me out of my title. He promotes the hell out of MY name at the shows. I'm the one putting asses in seats, then he pulls some stupid trickery to screw me.

Q: What are your opinions on Dennis Gregory, the man you defeated? Do you have any respect for him or is that a foreign concept to you?

A: Respect in this sport, as in life, must be earned, not given. Dennis Gregory has definitely earned my respect. I can't say that I fully respect him, because after all, he's never beaten me. But he has taken me to the limit twice. But don't think that because I respect him, that I hate him any less.

Q: Promoter Norm Connors has issued a "No Tolerance" rule for interference in your matches, stating if you won the title like a man, you'll have to defend it as such consistently. What's your take on that situation?

A: I think that I proved to Norm, and everyone else, that I don't need interference to win. The "No Tolerance" rule is just a bunch of garbage that he thought up to try to take my title. He realized that HE gave me the opportunity to win the belt, now he's kicking himself trying to get it away from me. Before you know it, he'll have me defending my belt three or four times a night!

Q: Do you feel you're getting the proper respect as champion?

A: Let's see. I won the belt, now I travel twice as much, have Norm trying to pull one over on me left and right, I have to wrestle guys like CM Punk and others that Connors is bringing out of the woodwork, and the idiot fans are still chanting "Skinny Me!" You tell me if I'm getting the respect I deserve!

Q: Your next championship defense is on unquestionably IWC's biggest show ever: December 12 in Johnstown, PA. Jerry Lawler, Shane Douglas, Raven, and more will be there and you stand above them all as champion. What is that feeling like and what are your thoughts on the Johnstown show as a whole?

A: Oh, those guys are on the card too? Why don't you ask THEM what it's like to be on a card with Sterling James Keenan!

Q: On to your specific role in that event, it has been announced you'll defend your championship against the one and only returning CM Punk. What's your take on that? Is CM Punk deserving of a title shot in your eyes?

A: You know, I've always liked CM Punk. He's always done what HE wants to do. As you can see, it has been rather fruitful to him. However, he didn't earn this shot! He was given the shot by that stupid little man, Norm Connors. Now, he's nothing more than a lackey. Norm says "Jump" and Punk wants to know "How High?" Last year, in December, I pinned Punk. They say history repeats itself, and in this case, it will be the truth.

Q: CM Punk himself is a former IWC Heavyweight champion, a belt he never officially lost since he was forced to forfeit it due to injury. Doesn't that entitle him to deserving the chance?

A: When a racehorse loses because he breaks his leg, do they start the race over? No, they take him to the slaughterhouse and make Chinese food out of him. If he couldn't work through the injury, that's just too bad.

Q: You made a great point earlier when you stated you defeated Punk once before, a little over a year ago. Do you think this will work against Punk psychologically?

A: Of course it will. When your old man slaps you with a belt, it instills a certain fear of him. Twenty years down the road, in the back of your mind, you still have that fear. This is no different. CM Punk fears me.

Q: Finally, what's your prediction: Will your "Unstoppable Uprising" continue as planned or will CM Punk end your reign and become IWC Champion once again?

A: Mark my words. I will be CM Punk's destruction. And if I'm gonna die, I'm gonna do it with my belt on!
