INTERNATIONAL WRESTLING CARTEL

A Q&A INTERVIEW WITH
STERLING JAMES KEENAN

By IWC Media Correspondent Harry Potter

First off, we want to thank Sterling James Keenan for this interview time.

Let's start off with a little background information, where were you trained, and who were your trainers?
I was trained at the "Wrestleplex" in North Versailles. No heat, no A/C; I was trained by Quinn Magnum, Mad Mike and Boomer Payne.

Where was your first match, and who was your opponent?
My first match was March 22nd, 2000 against Orion. We wrestled in "The Barn" in West Virginia.

What brought you to the International Wrestling Cartel?
I came to IWC because I felt it was best for me. The all-around product is much better than most places I've wrestled.

Now, most of the fans are not aware, but inform the readers of your trips down to the Dory Funk Conservatory in Florida? What kind of an experience was it?
My first trip was in June of 2002, my second in January of this year. Having already been formally trained, I mainly attended the camps to polish my skills. Dory has been there and done that, so he is a wrestling encyclopedia. It's nice to be in Florida, but it's five or six days of hard work. Wake up and hit the gym, eat, then go to the ring and wrestle. The !BANG! TV tapings are always fun as well.

Your second trip, you got to work with Osamu Nishimura, Vice President of New Japan Pro Wrestling. How was that?
Nishimura was amazing. Unfortunately, we only wrestled for about eight or nine minutes, but it was incredible. I have the utmost respect for his ability, and having been a Japanese wrestling fan, it was a big thrill.

IWC just recently started to have Raven appear on the shows, what are your thoughts on having Raven as an addition to the IWC roster?
Raven is an awesome addition to our already strong roster. He has been in the business longer than anyone in IWC, and his experience allows him to pass on a great deal of wisdom to the IWC stars.

The major question everyone wants to know, Sterling, is why did you hit Super Hentai with a chair in Penn Hills? Why did you turn your back on all of your fans?
I did not turn my back on the fans, they turned on me. I give 110% every time I step in the ring. I was basically sick of the people booing me while I did my all to entertain them. The time has come for SJK to be recognized amongst the top stars of IWC. I got everyone's attention by crushing Hentai's skull with the chair. I joined Shirley Doe, because he is the single greatest force to be reckoned with in IWC, and I will now get the respect I deserve. No scratch that... the respect I DEMAND!

What kind of relationship do you have with Shirley Doe and The Mysterious X?
Doe possesses the most brilliantly evil mind in the sport. He has opened my eyes. He's led me to realize that it's all about me. To hell with what others want. He has shown me how pathetically weak mankind tends to be and that if I mesmerize, irritate and terrorize enough people, my name will forever live on. I've simply decided that there is no better group to align myself with in my quest for greatness.

What can we expect from Sterling James Keenan in 2003?
Great minds never reveal their secrets. If I revealed mine, I would be neglecting myself of the pleasure of seeing jaws drop, and tears run.

Do you have any words for Super Hentai and Bubba the Bulldog, since they are facing both Shirley Doe and yourself at Steel Valley High School on April 12th?
To the soon-to-be fallen heroes, I only ask one question. What do you do when your god is dead and there are no rules?

I want to thank you, Sterling, for your time.
The pleasure has been all yours.
